| Abstract | O Pantanal é uma das maiores áreas úmidas do mundo. Em Mato Grosso do Sul, a planície inundável se destaca na produção de bezerros com aproveitamento dos campos nativos utilizados como pastagens e tem como característica de manejo o deslocamento dos rebanhos por entre terras baixas e áreas mais altas, ao ritmo do pulso das inundações anuais. O envio de bovinos para recria, engorda ou abate em outras localidades consolida uma pecuária sempre em movimento. Em termos intra regionais, tais lógicas territoriais dependem das condições de acesso e Circulação, sendo indissociadas ao ambiente, dada a oferta sazonal dos pastos e relevância do fluxo a pé dos rebanhos. Eventos hidrometeorológicos severos atuam como forçantes sobre o manejo e gestão da produção, podendo impactar em aumento de custos e prejuízos. O objetivo deste estudo foi apresentar a dinâmica do deslocamento bovino em Aquidauana e Corumbá, municípios com as maiores áreas de pantanais e produção do Pantanal Sul, considerando os eventos episódicos de seca em 2010 e cheia em 2014. Foram utilizados os registros mensais de trânsito bovino, de chuvas e de níveis dos rios correspondentes a cada localidade. Os resultados identificaram aumento dos deslocamentos em período de estiagem e de pré-enchente e diminuição nos meses da cheia; assim como fluxo intenso pontual em 2014, sugerindo situação de emergência. Isto endossa as estratégias adaptativas e a necessidade de ações que minimizem os impactos da variabilidade relacionada ao tempo e ao clima sobre a bovinocultura na região. ABSTRACT: The Pantanal is one of the largest wetlands in the world. In Mato Grosso do Sul, the floodplain stands out in the production of calves with use of native grasslands as pastures and has the characteristic of handling the displacement of the herds between lowlands and higher areas, to the rhythm of the pulse of the annual floods. Moving lifestock for rearing, fattening and slaughter consolidates livestock farming always in motion. In intraregional terms, such territorial logics depend on the conditions of access and circulation, being inseparable from the environment, given the seasonal supply of pastures and the relevance of the herds walking flow. Severe hydrometeorological events act as forcing on the management and management of production, which may impact on increased costs and losses. The objective of this study was to present the dynamics of bovine displacement in Aquidauana and Corumbá, municipalities with the largest areas of wetlands and production of the Pantanal Sul, considering the episodic events of drought in 2010 and full in 2014. The monthly records of cattle traffic, rainfall and river levels were used for each studied locality. The results revealed increased displacement in dry period and pre-flooding and decreased displacement in flood months; as well as intense intense flow in 2014, suggesting an emergency situation. This endorses the adaptive strategies and the need for actions that minimize the impacts of time and climate variability on cattle breeding in the region. |
